For C Grade BRASS BAND

The three movements of this captivating piece utilise a somewhat traditional approach to a three movement suite, that is, a march, a chorale and a processional. They take the audience on a journey through the history of Australian regional "gold" towns Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, the first movement, “Swept by Grief”, brings fire and destruction; Movement 2, “Washed with love”, emulates the love and conservation efforts of the European immigrants regarding the precious mineral waters; Movement 3, “Blessed by Art”, celebrates the Hepburn Springs region we know and love today. A region that nourishes and supports Australian artists and musicians in many diverse mediums.
